Welcome to the Home Builders Association of Charlotte - a dynamic organization comprised of over 1,100 member companies. We represent nearly 42,000 professionals directly involved in the home building industry.
The HBAC was founded in 1945 by a group of Charlotte builders looking for an organization to serve their interests and needs within the home building industry. Today, the HBAC serves all of Mecklenburg County and has eight specialized councils, led by member volunteers and professional staff who strive to address issues unique to the various professionals within the association. This system promotes member participation and allows them to influence future actions of the HBAC.
